About
Clinical Psychology, Qualifications, HCPC registered
I initially qualified as a chartered Clinical Psychologist in 1998 in Greece.
The research requirements of Clinical courses at the time were at the MSc level and this explains why my cohort doesn’t use the title ‘Dr’.
I held a number of jobs in Greece with the most substantial one being in the Hellenic Army (civilian staff). After I moved to the UK I worked with the British Psychological Society (BPS) and I was supported by Manchester Clinical Psychology program (ClinPsyD Doctorate in Clinical Psychology) and gained my Statement of Equivalence in Clinical Psychology by the BPS in 2008.
I have been working as a Highly Specialist Clinical Psychologist for the last 12 years in an NHS, Adult Complex mental health service. I have also worked part-time for local the Specialist Autism service and for a neuro-rehabilitation unit. I currently work as a Clinical Lead in Acute Mental Health Services.
I have a very wide range of experience in complex psychological assessments. I have extensive experience in bespoke psychological therapy and in schema informed therapy.
I work closely with the local doctoral Clinical courses offering supervision and support to trainee Clinical psychologists.
